My name is Jackie. I have been sewing for well over 25 years and quilting for about 10 years. Just found this website and thought I should sign up.
Not much into doing the whole quilt guild thing. Way too much drama for me. I want to enjoy my hobby and not worry about the social aspect of a guild.
I enjoy piecing, and doing my own machine quilting. Right now I am doing wholecloths.
I have also been bitten by the quilt show bug. It is a like a quest for me now. How many ribbons can I win? This quilt "elegant star" has been my best winner so far. It has won 1st place, best stationary stitching, and an Honorable mention.
This year I have my youngest daughter going off to college and my oldest daughter getting married. So after Nov 6th, My hubby and I will be officially "empty Nesters". So I am hoping to have tons more time for quilting.
Well, enough about me. Can't wait to enjoy this site and read all the boards...Happy Quilting.
