Is there a Joann's near you. They have classes you might be able to meet someone there. Or better yet take a quilting class at the local college or high school, maybe there.The people that put that Apple festval on, the ones who post the festival might be able to help you with quilting clubs as they would have to know who is entering the quilts. Ok Im out of ideas....
