If you can sew together strips of fabric then cut them with a ruler you basically can do the bargello round because that is pretty much all there is to it. Are you doing the circle or the one that start a circle then twists back on in the other direction?
I am doing the circle one, but when I am finished the wall hanging will be rectangular with the circle in the center and then one fourth of a circle in each of the four corners. The pattern that I am using is actually working out really well for this because as you are making the center circle you are creating another circle from the leftovers after cutting your wedge piece out. I am really amazed at how easy the circular bargello is compared to the ribbon bargello I did earlier.
