I lay out the blocks diagonally and then sew them together on a diagonal slant, then sew the rows on a diagonal slant. There isn't any set in seams that way.

I always have trouble with the math to figure out the size of the setting triangles but there are places on the internet that do it for you or give you the formula to figure it out.
This is how I do it also. If you cut a square the same size as your (unfinished) blocks and then cut it from corner to corner diagnally you will have a traingle that fits just right. At least it has worked for me! lol
