So far, looks like you are a real hot quilter, and have a good handle on color as well.

Nice to see you are not letting the heat & humidity stop your great works...

As for warmest, don't confuse thickest with warmest.
For a long time I have been using Cotton, but have recently switched to the more expensive, but well worth it WOOL batting's...
I can be washed, but is better when laid flat to dry, which is how I dry my quilts anyway.

So far what I have learned is that it does not beard or travel like polyester, does not clump up like cotton, and I do not have to work with multiple layers when I want the stuffed or trapunto look.

Least expensive places to buy have been Hancock's of Paduca online...or JoAnn's with a 50% off coupon.

So welcome from the panhandle area...and for warmth, or great looks, Wool would be my choice.

Now for light weight, cool and something that breathes with the Florida humidity, I would pick a silk blend. So light weight, and a dream to quilt.
