When we bought our house it had been empty for several months so the earwigs took over!! Every window sill was full of them, dead and alive. We vacuumed really well and sprayed inside and outside and finally got rid if them. They still show up in our mailbox once in a while so I spray it with Bug Stop and they're gone for a few months. As far as the house, we have to spray around the house several times per year to keep all critters at bay. That's Southern Virginia survival !!
