Today I went to my LQS, so far so good. As intended, I bought the fabric for a quilt my MIL will receive as her Christmas gift.
While she was cutting fabric and we were chatting, I told the owner, I'm planning on making a scrap quilt for charity one day, although my husband thinks I lack the time (and I KNOW I'm lacking the fabric). As a newbie, I don't have a huge stash, or let's face the truth, I don't have a stash at all. But then something miraculous happened: She passed me a paper bag full of scraps she wanted to toss. Lucky me I was there to save them, and now I am one happy camper :). Although it's not enough for a scrap quilt, it's a kind of a serious beginning, what do you think? I'd really love to pay it forward, b/c I think I'm blessed with my kids, my husband, everything.

Am I insane feeling like a kid in the candy store with my bag of fabric goodies? Kinda crazy, huh?
