I made 2 throws and put fleece on the back and 1 baby quilt. When I do this, I don't stipple or meander, just tack- stitches about 8 or 9 in length, just to hold everything from moving. The back is then nice and smooth and soft. It also makes them faster(yes, finished, not UFOs). That way you get your beautiful quilt top but the functional warmth of the fleece.

I've bought minkee, but haven't been able to bring myself to cut it. I did find some scraps at Wal-Mart of mint green and grab it if I ever see it in the scrap bin. I want to make something, but haven't decided what I want to do yet. Everytime I make a quilt for the babies at our house, they go home with a Mom.
