Did you use templates to mark those stars??? My very first (very small!) quilt was an Ohio Star. Your points are great!!
Yes, I drew out a star and made a template for it. Actually two templates, one large and a small one for the sashing. You can't really tell from the picture of the back but there is a LOT of quilting on this. I used a gold colored thread to compliment the focus fabric.
