Thanks, I enjoyed using everything I learned. I was just sewing strips together so the width of the squares was 3", the length was about 2 1/2" on some and 3" on some. Just whatever I could get out of a swatch of fabric. I kept the 3" width so my strips wouldn't get all cranky on me. As far as cutting your blocks to get them ready to use later we have several posts on the best sizes to cut them into. Use the search field on what size do you cut your scraps. There are some great ideas in the post you will get. A store bought jelly roll (I am sure) has a standard size but I don't know what it is. /Regards, Dorothy
