Well quilters, I ripped it back and did a diamond in the middle of a white block to match the pieced border and am now ready to measure and complete the last two borders. I will take a pic when I do that. The last all around border will be solid with no corner stones. I am so glad I asked here for opinions..
i think that sounds like a great solution and i can't wait to see it! patience always pays off...especially when you have that much time invested in the quilt top itself.
