FALL SWAP GROUND RULES
The Fall Tablerunner Swap signup is closed and the partner list is posted below! We have 92 people participating. WOW! Please let me know if you have any questions or if you see any errors on the list.
SWAP GROUND RULES… Just in case!
Almost all swaps are great experiences for our members, but here are the ground rules (from the guidelines provided by the Quilters Board). This is a reminder for all of us, whether it is your first swap or not.
1. As the person arranging the swap, I am responsible for managing it. The owner, administrator and moderators of the Quilting Board are not liable in any way.
2. We welcome all members of all skill levels.
3. Please send things you would be happy to receive yourself.
4. Please graciously accept what you receive.
5. If, for some reason, you don't feel you can use something you receive in a swap, please keep it to yourself. If you feel you've been severely "short-changed", take it up privately with me as the activity organizer. NO public posts complaining about what you received from your swap partner. NO public complaints or criticisms of other participants for any reason. ALL complaints must be addressed by PM to me as the activity coordinator.
6. There is no obligation to send any additional items/gifts in the package to your partner unless you choose to do so. The only expectation is a tablerunner.
7. HAVE FUN!
WHAT SHOULD YOU DO NOW?
• PM your partner and exchange your contact information: Name & Address and email if you want. Remember that it is a holiday weekend in the USA and some people may not be able to respond right away. Also, make sure you PM the correct partner...some people's names are very similar!
• Let your partner know about your Halloween preference: either, “A Halloween tablerunner is fine if that’s what you want to make,” or “I prefer a fall-only, non-Halloween theme.” (Even if your partner says Halloween is OK, you are not obligated to do that theme, especially if you have started your project or have fabrics selected. I don’t want anyone to feel pressured to incur extra expense to buy fabric they had not planned on purchasing.)
• Review the swap ground rules (above).
• Start sewing!
• Try your best to have your tablerunner in the mail no later than AUGUST 30 so your partner can enjoy it for the entire fall season.
• Please PM your partner when the package is on its way so she can watch for it and let you know when it arrives.
• If you have a digital camera, please take a photo of your tablerunner before you mail it (but please don’t post the photo before your partner receives it). Some people don’t have a camera and aren’t able to post a picture when the package is received.
• If you encounter a delay (life happens, we understand), please communicate with your swap partner as soon as possible, and let me know as well.
• If for any reason you have to drop out of the swap, please PM me immediately.
• When you get your package, please PM your partner so she knows it has arrived. And please PM me so I can check it off the list as received.
• Show & Tell is one of the best parts of a swap. Take a photo and post it to our thread so we can share the fun!
• Be sure to thank your partner.
