I just noticed your MS Office purchase wish. You definitely should check with your school. My kids bought their versions for under $20 and the only real difference that I could find was the lack of clip-art on my daughters computer. It could be she just didn't bother to install the whole thing to save space.
The Professional parts sounds more impressive though. I have had educator and professional versions and really didn't notice and perceptible difference.
