I looked at the four in question for selvages (don't see any but would I know what selvages on fabric that old looks like?) and on two of them I can almost see and definitely feel where the holes are. The other two I can't. One does have a piece of a label caught in the frayed edges - it has white background and pieces of two large black letters.
Sounds like they are probably feed sack. Especially if the fabric is coursely woven like the others.
