Not laughing here. We've had something like that happen, too. We live in a house that was built in 1962 and in a subdivision...no farm land in sight. The stench was so strong that it gave my husband a headache. Wonder if they live in the sewer system? We have all kinds of animals running around here. Squirrels, rabbits, chipmunks, moles, raccoons, oppossum and skunks to name a few. Have even seen a couple of deer, but I think that they were way lost!!!
