I have the same quilt pattern in the works, the triangles are foundation pieces and the black are cut from a template. I don't remember who marked it first the red triangle and blue square but she is correct in the construction. Mine is still in pieces one of my UFO's.
I love the black that this one is framed in, really makes the other fabrics pop.
