I haven't consider static in relation to my sewing machine. I know about it with my computer but hadn't thought about it with my machine. I sew in a room that has a 50 gallon aquarium. I would suppose that is the reason I haven't had a problem with static. Thank you for this post and the extra information relating to the electronics on the machine.
