One discount store close to me that did sell nice fabric did not renew their contract for fabric because the contract price went up so much the store knew they couldn't sell it to their customers at the price they would have to charge. When the stock of fabric they have now is gone, there will be no more in the store. When I see good fabric on sale online for $3- $4 a yard I buy it. The color or print doesn't much matter, I can match anything with a cut up cotton sheet! My DH will be retiring soon so that means no increase in pay every year, just a set amount the we have to distribute over our years left. That is scary! How do you know what will be enough ten years from now? I am stocking up on good quality fabric, who knows, it may be better then stocks.
