I am making this boys quilt for my nieces 2 year old son, at the moment they are not in the best of circumstances so hopefully this will help cheer them up.
As usual I have tried to create this quilt from op shop purchases and recycled fabrics. There is a real mish mash of fabrics here,
Yellow-cotton drill
Pale Blue-old polyester sheet
Navy-poly-cotton
Text print-cotton flannel
Gingham-recycled shirt
I fussy cut the little cars etc and appliqued them on with machine blanket stitch, I'm planning on doing bright red binding and machine quilting.
