Since I am a scrapbooker and a fairly new quilter, I started a scrapbook of the quilts I have made. I include a photo of the quilt; pieces of the fabric; photo of me with the recipient of the quilt, when possible; name, date, etc., of the quilt; and my thoughts when I made that quilt for the person. I also have included other photos, thank you notes, etc., so far I have 20+ quilts in my 8x8 in. scrapbook. I also put labels on my quilts because I have family quilts that I know are made by my mother-in-law, my grandmother, and my great grandmother, but we have no idea when they were made. One day before he died, my dad got out one of the quilts his mother had made and told me that this square was from Rick's shirt (his brother), this one was from his shirt, his mama had made an apron out of this fabric ... precious memories.
