the smell is gone it only took 2 days. The oil on the light bulb worked but only when the light was on and the oil heated. I will have to remember that for Christmas to put peppermint oil on the bulb so the house will smell pepperminty. I left the light on a lot however there were undertones of skunk. I wonder why it took so long for the smell to disapate it wasn't as if the skunk sprayed my room the smell was blown in by the fan. It's over now, at night if I have the window open and the dogs next door barking I know to close the window ASAP!!!!!!!!!!
