Yes, she would have loved to know I finished as a tribute to her. She was a great woman who never had the time to do something like quilting, she was too busy working to raise her children to have much leisure time, and then dementia set in during her retirement years.
I've decided to set aside a minimum of an hour a day to sit and work on the blocks. I have six complete, and some pieces put together, as I started doing the same pieces in different blocks (assembly line style). I toyed with the idea of machining them, but I doubt that would work. My experience is that hand pieced blocks and machined blocks rarely end up the same size...by my hands, anyway. :lol:
