All the current dogs are from the shelter when I worked there.
I adopted about 5 others who were sick and I just could not euthanize them. Most had cancer and died in our arms after several months.
The first two cats are the original mommies and are sisters and the next three are their kids. The rest are shelter cats. We've had one cat disappear in almost 8 years.
Goat: Pete rescued from bad situation.
Chickens and Guinea: Guess they don't count.

My Avatar is my Baby-A Beagle named Milton. He was adopted from a Beagle Rescue Group in 2008. My previous dog was a terrier mix named Terrence (Terry-Dog). He survived Parvo at 8 weeks old, but succumbed to Bladder cancer at the age of 10 1/2 years old. His family surrounded him as he crossed Rainbow Bridge. He was more like my little brother than my dog because after he survived Parvo, my folks fell in love with him and raised him as their puppy. He had loads of personality, whereas Miltie is as mellow as a Nilla wafer. He DOES have spirit, though.
