There is a shop in Atascadero, CA, called the quilters cupboard. It is incredible, also another shop in Morro Bay can't remember the name, also back porch fabrics in pacific grove. Depending on how far up you are going. I know you mentioned Lodi, well Antioch is only about 30 minutes from there and there is a wonderful quilt shop called Queen B, I'm partial to that shop cause I live in Oakley and it's my favorite place to go to.
