Don't forget the Lava Lamps. There is a new fabric out that glows in the dark. I don't know the name of it but they have it at Threads of Time in Danville Il.

Anyway, that Glow in the Dark fabric would be great to make some applique piece symbols, or "beads" out of for the border. Personally I'd make a huge beaded necklace around the border.
Guitars would be good, some fringed vests, or you could even make 45 record appliques with songs like "Aquarius" "Give Peace a Chance" "War" "Purple Haze" (okay, you might not want that one) "Imagine" "Bobbie McGee" "I Got You Babe", etc.
