A piece of fabric suitable for quilts has to get very small before I pitch it. I make crumb blocks out of the odd size pieces and string quilts out of the strips. I just finished one string quilt and started another one today using used dryer sheets for the block base. I want to make a sunshine and shadows quilt by putting all the dark strips on one side of the block and all light strips on the other side but seem to have run out of light strips. Guess I'll have to cut some of the larger scraps into strips.
