Thanks for taking the time to do this demonstration for us! I tried doing the 2 squares into 4 triangles with paper piecing (I think LOL) and it worked great! Will never go back to piecing each individual triangle again. Awesome technique! I used it for my first sample block of the bear's paw and I think for the first try it turned out pretty good if I do say so myself.
