I keep forgetting to mention that the crosshatching in one part of your border quilting reminds me of a recurrent theme in New England - pineapples. They symbolize 'Welcome.' It started when sea captains would bring pineapples home with them, and one would be put on the picket fence in front of the house to let the neighbors know they were welcome to come calling.
