I recently found wide fleece at Real Deals for $1.00 a linear foot... that's $3.00 a yard. They had it in navy blue, beige and red. This was the width to make a full size quilt I think. Can't remember the actual dimension just now and don't have it with me to measure it for you.
My family loves fleece for backing on their quilts.
