I have borrowed a Janome 8000 from a friend for the summer (so I wouldn't have to drag mine across Canada). I have a Janome 4023, so I brought my walking foot, darning foot, and 1/4" foot with me, cause I knew she wouldn't have them.

I used the machine today, and it sews like a dream.... BUT my feet that I brought with me don't fit on her shank. It almost looks like hers is a long shank, and mine at home is a short shank.

Can anyone confirm this or help me????

Before I knew she was actually going to lend me the machine I went to Wal-Mart and bought a Brother LS-2125 because I wasn't really sure she would lend me the machine. (I figured if she did then I could return it...)

Can anyone tell me if the Brother has a low shank foot so that my feet that I brought will actually fit.

Right now, I can piece, but I can't quilt anything, which is a serious bummer cause I have a project I'd like to get done as soon as I can so I can give it to the Scout Master!!!

Any help is appreciated!
