This is very lovely but you can get started with tempera or acrylic on paper, textile paint on cloth, etc. I brush the paint on a leaf, on a piece of old newspaper. Cover with more old newspaper & rub with fingers or a brayer. Lift up, that's it. Nice to do outside. Don't feel you have to invest in snazzy materials until you get the feel of it.
