I thought this was interesting... there was a local shop hop and there was a bus that was chartered for the day to deliver us to all of the shops on the list. It was such a great time - everyone had so much fun. The following year we all noticed that one of the shops had disappeared from the list - and we discovered that the owner said she did not want to participate because we were not the right kind of customers that she wanted in her shop. That blew me away - we all left her shop with purchases in one of her fancy schmancy shop bags. Oh well we all laughed when we went right by her door the following year. And to be honest there are a lot of ladies that have found other shops to frequent where they can feel that they are welcome. Oh well - so it goes.
