We live in a very old house, built in 1905? (I think) that the state is going to take in a few years, tear down and widen the highway. So, I can pretty much do what I want with the walls and not worry about hubby yelling about "holes" or whatever. I just use push pins (the hallway is paneled) and then I can reposition where ever I want. The push pins do not harm the quilts either. :D
But a clothes line would work too. And you could easily take down the quilts and reposition....or you could get a rod that extended several feet but then you'd have to use a hanging sleeve on the back of each quilt.
