put a solid innertube in your tire... not as smooth of ride but you don't have the flats.
We have so many sticker weeds here my husband figured out a way to make the tire less suseptable to flats. He took the old tire and trimmed the sides off. Then he put the old tire tread into the new tire. Then the inner tube. Then he put a little air into the innertube. He had this stuff he called monkey snott. It comes in a tube and you put it in through the tire stem. Then finally you put the tire on the bike and filled up the tire with air.

This worked really well. He usually only had to do it at the beginning of the summer and the kids bikes worked all summer.
