It felt so busy with the bandanna and the kids, I thought the blue would settle the eye. But it looks , well, not done. I have this great lasso fabric and was considering it, but didn't want to get the busy going again........please tell me what you think?
Here's what I see: the center is primarily "light" in color, but the blue "weights" it down, almost as if it is trapped. Add the lasso in a wide border and it will help balance the effect of the lights/darks. I would personally use the red for binding, as it will help tie that color all the way through the quilt.
That's just what my eye sees. You COULD stop now and it would be lovely, too. Either way, some kid's gonna be really loved!
