As you start out with a square for 3 D pinwheels I had the square made of HST, one solid, one printed fabric. Then I ironed them slidely next to the seam so you are able to see a small rim of the printed fabric on the finished pinwheel.
Just have to make them bigger and trim after folding. It also has the advantage to stabilize the fabric and they dont crumble too much after washing.
I came up with the idea as I figured that it would add to the 3D and I am very proud of that one (also invent the wheel every other week :lol: )
