I have 2 six-foot folding tables (from Costco) that I set up on "bed lifters" (from Bed Bath and Beyond). I can spread out my quilt "sandwich" and pin, without killing my back.
If you don't have room for tables this size, many LQS or churches will let you use their tables (is there are no meetings or classes going on). I cannot use the floor anymore with my bad back and knee replacement. :cry:
