Hello, I am a Yankee that thoroughly enjoys the weather here in Texas!! LOL Everyone thinks I am crazy - especially when the temps hit 100 degrees! But, compared to -20 degrees for several days to weeks, this is a breeze!!!
I have only been quilting for a couple of years, but I really enjoy it, both on the machine and also hand quilting. I have sewn for myself and my children for over 30 years, so quilting is a nice change. I like to put them together by the lap quilting method (Georgia Bonesteele) that I learned from a book. That way I do not have to send them out for longarm quilting.
I really have admired all of the different flowers here in Texas too. I like to garden, but I have found that some of the flowers that I am used to growing do not like the heat like I do! LOL
