Hi and thank you everyone! Someone asked what I gave to my husband. Well we for the most part don't exchange gifts, going out to dinner has always been our extravagance. The flowers were a wonderful surprise! Years ago we were on vacation during our anniversary, so that, we considered our gift :). I think just having another year is a gift in itself. I did get him a card and His favorite candy! M&M's, whoppers and reeses cups! :)
Someone asked what keeps the marriage strong over the years or lasting. I can only say, having a best friend is what makes the marriage strong. Having time to yourself (my crafting and his music) is essential, being able to allow the other their space and then sharing the rest. Keeping a good sense of humor, talking and working through the hard times. And Ice Cream!! lol teasing, but it is good!
