While my husband would never think of taking up quilting, I do have to share a cute story about how contagious the "quilt bug" can be. One of my bee members took her DIL to a weekend quilting retreat. The girl had never sewed a stitch before. A few days after the retreat, the son called and said, "Well, Mom, I hope you're happy." When asked what the meant, he said, "Because of you, she's joined THE CULT and has gone crazy. She just spent a fortune buying all her own fabric, rulers, cutters, mats, and gadgets. Quilting is all she talks about." Yep, she had become a pod person too.
