Thanks, everyone, for welcoming me to the Quilting Forum. I agree with you that 100% cotton fabric is the best choice. I bought some of the cheap fabric Walmart had on sale ($5/5 yds) and returned it today. I didn't inspect it very close while in the store, but when I unwrapped it, I knew I wouldn't be using it.
