Hi everyone, I am the Region 7 Coordinator for the Quilts of Valor Foundation. My region is Arkansas, Louisiana, Missouri, and Mississippi. The United States has 10 regions and each region has a Coordinator. Our volunteer position is to inform people of the Quilts of Valor Foundation and what it does. The foundation's website encourages volunteer longarmers and piecers to sign up. Then they will team up piecers and longarmers together. Yes, there is a lt of communications and mailings back and forth but the idea is teamwork. We all want to support our troops. It is entirely possible to make a quilt and quilt it yourself and request a recipitent from the Fundation. There is a place onthe website to do that too.
