I have the Olfa 45mm with the scissors-like grip. I like it better than the retractable blade type because when it's not in use, the blade automatically retracts. You have to do it manually with the other style. I have one made by Gingher (same size) that I don't like at all. I use the Gingher to cut paper. Also, I have one (45 mm again) with a pinking blade that I like for cutting the ends of fabric when I'm going to wash it. I get a lot less raveling that way.
