The LQS I frequent most of the time is just as helpful to the men as the women. They have a male employee, but the women are the first to help the male customers.
We also had a male biker who frequented the shop and he not only made quilts, but also designed many beautiful quilts. There are a few of his patterns still on the racks (he passed away this past year), but I'm sure they won't be there for long.
