I really like your quilt. I like how the white makes it look so crisp. Did you mark you FMQ first or just wing it? Looks great! Would you like my address? :)
I also like white quilts. Makes them look so SHARP. I got plastic cutting mats @ the $ store to use as my templates, used disappearing marker and went row by row. It was funny to see how I could NOT stay on the lines. Looked TERRIBLE until the purple lines disappeared-then it looked pretty dern good. It was amazing how after just a few rows, I was really getting the HANG of it. I like the meandering style as it really goes pretty fast. I still need lots of practice but I can't get better if I don't keep going at it. I also tried some different shapes, turned out pretty good. Thanks for the nice comments.
I have one of those purple markers. It looks like it came off the white and everything! I was afraid to use it, but next time I quilt one of my tops (4 or 5 right now) I'm gonna get out my stencils and try it.

How long before the purple disappeared? Did you have enough time to finish the area you were working on?
Sorry for all the questions, but thanks for all the help! :)
I think it depends on the fabric. I use only 100% cotton and some of the purple started disappearing in a hour or so- then some of it took 1-2 days on the same posted quilt. Go figure! So I only marked as much as I thot I could get finished in one sitting. Was fun to see quilt after it sat all night. WOW! What a GOOD job I did!!! It sure looks awful if you can't stay right on the lines (who can do that anyway?) until the purple goes away. So don't get spooked when it stays a little longer than you think it should. You can always do a few practice runs on the fabric you plan to use. Have fun with it!!!!
