What is the correct way to cut borders. Do you lay the fabric open on the cutting board, then cut the two sides of a border the length of your cutting board (mine is only 24 inches wide), then slide the fabric along so that an uncut section is on top of the cutting board, then cut additional length, and continue doing this until the correct length (and width) is cut? Hope you can understand what I'm trying to explain.

Or is it ok to fold over the fabric so that you can cut more width and length than one layer at a time?
