I was diagnosed with leukemia 22 years ago [still on treatment ]..After the first 5 years of treatment ,I became pretty stable..I decided that I wanted to learn to fly an airplane...and That I better do it now or I may miss the chance..After long discussions with my husband [he wasn't really for the idea ]....he finally relented one day ...He came home with a surprise package for me..It was a red pouch filled with my flight log and manuels and an appointment for my first lesson...He really thought that after a lesson or two, that I would change my mind...
