Hi, I'm new at this message stuff, so be patient with me. I started quilting 1997, my first 5 quilts were queen, hand pieced and hand quilted. I taught myself, so I probably do things a little different than everyone else. But, the end results are still beautiful! After that, I decided I needed a new sewing machine, off to wal mart, used that one a few years, then bought the Elna quilters dream machine, love it! My good friend that lives in Oregon got me interested in embroidery, we chat every evening on the computer, so I bought the Brother Innovis 2500 and am now incorporating my embroidery into my quilts. We were blessed with a new granddaughter a year ago, so combining embroidery and quilting together became an easy project making quilts for that new baby! I have tried machine quilting, but my love is hand quilting, I have made over 60 queen/king quilts in this time frame and about 12 crib size for that new baby. thank you all for letting me enjoy your forum.
