I tried it several times and gave it up as I think it is highly unpractical. Whenever you add a new piece of fabric you have to fold the previous one over. This can be only done if you take the hoop off the machine and put it on the table. Otherwise you cant press enough.
You might get a very accurat Pinapple block in the hoop but within the same time you would be able to make four pp blocks.......just my five cent.

She uses a small little triangle iron, and you don't have to take off the hoop each time! You also can put 4 blocks together after they are made, into a big block!
