I do try to use high quality thread, but I can switch brands with no problems. Yes, good thread makes a difference, but if your machine (especially if it's a new one) will only use one type of thread, I'd say it needs servicing of some kind.
I know ;( just had it serviced actually and about to replace the computer.. it has been not liking me at all ;(.. I agree on the thread.. what are good qualities I heard STAR was good but it hated it ;(. This is working so want to try more of it.
